Where Has December Gone?

Where has December gone?  I had great plans to continue weekly blog posts over the course of the month.  But it hasn’t worked out like that!  One post on how to make the most from LinkedIn and that’s it.  https://fionadranesblog.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/how-to-get-the-most-from-linking-in/

So apologies I am guessing for you too December is a month that just runs away with you.  Work wise attempting to put four weeks work into three weeks and getting prepared for the New Year plus fitting in as many client meetings as you can.  Bright Light Marketing have an exciting new project which starts officially in January which we are getting excited about and will keep us busy in January.

Personally December has been busy with Christmas plays and concerts with one child’s class producing a Christmas CD  – Knock, Knock, Knocking on Santa’s door.  And the other child playing the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella Rockafella.  Last night we were out at the fantastic Christmas show at Earlston High School.  There has been lots of buying of presents and wrapping of presents.  With a very last-minute rush to get the Christmas Cards written before we missed the second class post.  It’s been really busy and at times very stressful so very grateful to my Mum and Dad who came and looked after the kids and the dog for a long weekend allowing my husband and I a great escape in the Lake District which was much appreciated.  Lots of rest, some great meals out at Lucy’s In Ambleside ,Queen’s Head at Troutbeck as well as great shopping round the Lake District towns with lots of foodie shopping at the wonderful locally focused Booths supermarket.

So it’s been a busy month and I must admit that I now feel that I am running slightly on empty.  I can’t wait for the holidays to begin as they will do tomorrow.  I may write a blog piece over the holidays but again I may not.  So if I don’t I would like to thank you for reading my blog and all the best for the festive season.
