We are all experts at everything aren’t we or are we?

Money is tight just now and we are all feeling the pinch as the economy continues to hurt and the bad summer means that food prices are set to rise further cutting into our budgets.  Its easy in this climate both at home and in business to decide that we can do everything ourselves but can we?

If you have time to spare yes of course at home you can do lots of DIY and fix minor issues.  But there are times that you need to call in the experts when your heating fails, your roof leaks and your washing machine packs in and it’s not the filter.  (see I have learnt some skills over the years).  Electricians, Joiners, Painters, Plumbers, and Roofers have a skill and an expertise and sometimes though it hurts your purse you need to call in these skills.  To avoid having to bring them in at a later stage when it will cost you more and you might have spent lots of time achieving not a lot.

It’s the same in business we all have our areas of expertise yet running our own businesses its easy to try to do it all even areas that we are not so good at or if we are honest know its out with our kein.  We discovered that after a couple of years at Bright Light Marketing.  With the best will in the world we are not experts in finance it was taking up too much of our time.  So we hired the services of a bookkeeper.  It doesn’t cost us a fortune but what it means is that our finances are up to date and in good order.  And it frees us up to do what we are good at marketing.

At Bright Light Marketing we are experts in Marketing.  We can do all aspects of marketing from running a promotional campaign for you.  Giving your company a new direction by carrying out a comprehensive marketing plan for you.  Producing enewsletters or printed material to keep your customers up to date with your business and reminding them to use your services.  Setting up and running a Social Media campaign for you including writing blogs.  And many other aspects of Marketing.

But we can’t give you a legal opinion.  We can give you an opinion of course but if you need legal advice you need to contact a lawyer.  We can’t paint you a picture.  Of course we could do it but I doubt that you would want to buy it.  You need an Artist.  As you will no doubt have guessed what I am trying to say here is that running a business you should use experts.  It will make your business not just look better but also run more effectively.  At Bright Light Marketing we can bring new business to clients as well as getting more business from existing customers.  That is our area of expertise.  And it allows you to concentrate on your expertise.

It also gets the job done.  Too often a business will look at a quote and think I could do that myself.  I could carry out some research, put an advert together and start tweeting.  Then months later what has that business done?  Nothing why?  They are not marketing experts.  Have spent the time concentrating on their area of expertise the only problem is they haven’t moved the business forward.
