2010 Snow – 2100 Wind and Rain. The Great weekend escape

This time a year ago we had our fingers crossed that there would be a thaw and my parents would get here to look after the kids and the dog allowing us to escape to their place in the Lake District and them to spoil the kids rotten.  You can read all about it in the blog that I wrote last year.  https://fionadranesblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=166&action=edit

This year as usual we have been looking forward to the this particular weekend in December.  The kids as ever as they get spoilt rotten by their grandparents and us because it’s a chance to re- charge our batteries.  We may not have had the snow this year to stress us out but I think everyone gets to this time of the year and feels a wee bit weary.  And the cold I have had for the past week hasn’t helped.  Plus this year we are getting spoilt ourselves.   We are headed to the Hideaway Experience in Angus which promises luxury and romance and exactly what we need rest and relaxation.  http://www.thehideawayexperience.co.uk/

So must admit that I am rather hoping that today’s storm will blow over and tomorrow night my parents will be safely ensconced here and we will be in a hot tub in a Hideaway!  Will keep you posted.
